It is a new gastronomic space located in the Casino of Barcelona. An original, fun and diaphanous space where the limits are lost through the combination of textures, colors and a studied game of lighting.

The Oda Restaurant & Cocktails, a new gastronomic space inspired by the Latin American landscapes located in the Casino of Barcelona, an exclusive space of 252m2 and with a capacity for 60 people, the design of the restaurant has been developed from a combination of organic materials such as iron, rusted iron, ropes, wood, resins and a careful lighting.

The client required an open and diaphanous space in which the limits were lost, in order to eliminate the sensation of a closed box that can be had in a Casino of not treating very carefully the artificial illumination.

We proposed to counteract this and the lack of natural light through a combination of textures, colours and lighting games and to turn it into a dynamic and changing space by using materials, calculated rgb lighting (neutral at dinner time and intense colour palettes at cocktail time) and projections as a window to extend the space beyond its walls.

The décor features the use of 8,000 metres of ropes suspended from the ceiling, elaborate lighting design and double-focus iron lamps specially designed for the space, as well as chestnut wood tables with a luminescent effect in the resin-treated parts, which are soft to the touch, also designed by Alex March. This is a very scenographic and theatrical space that makes the most of the simultaneous use of music, image and lighting to attract clients who are looking for a different experience that brings together all five senses.
